the core of our business

Constellium’s business is intrinsically sustainable because the products we make enjoy all the properties of aluminium which contribute to a sustainable society. Thanks to aluminium’s unique combination of properties - light, strong, durable, infinitely recyclable - its use improves resource efficiency and reduces CO2 emissions.

Commitment to sustainability

Our company’s deep commitment to sustainability influences the business decisions we make, how we treat people, and the ways in which we create value. We conducted a Materiality Assessment and created a Sustainability Council containing representatives from all facets of our business. The council chooses targets, tracks our performance, and ensures accurate disclosure of sustainability data in alignment with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), and United Nations Global Compact (UNGC).

External partnerships

External partnerships are key to our approach. As an early supporter of the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI), we are building a standard for the responsible production and usage of aluminium, and are helping to develop the ASI’s certification process.
