P&ARP Finance leads the finance function across the BU. This includes the following activities:
- Management support: advise and support in significant contracts and projects, establish procedures and systems to ensure an efficient management of the BU
- Controllership & Accounting: advise and support in producing consolidated accounts of Constellium Group, roll out new accounting standards policy within the BU, prepare financial statements for the BU and for the Group, support external auditors in their diligences
- Management controlling: maximize value for the shareholders, ensure optimization of working capital and cash-flow generation, lead forecast and budget process, produce monthly BU Management reporting, develop and maintain BU reporting systems, support in investment analysis
- Risk management, internal controls and compliance.

In this context P&ARP finance function needs a controller at BU level to lead various activities to bring the BU to the next level: 
- Financial forecasting activities, to help determining value creation opportunities and maximizing cash
- Projects to improve systems, processes and management tools, to increase business efficiency and effectiveness (further integration of facilities, hedging,) 
- Strategic BU initiatives (cost reduction plan, sales price management, major Capex projects,)

 

Primary Purpose

The P&ARP controller will support as well the BU CFO in his/her duties such as reviewing business cases, defining action plans (costs and TWC reduction, …), checking compliance to rules (transfer pricing,), improving understanding and transparency of BU results (actuals and forecasts), performing reports for corporate (QBR,,), … 
The position requires to travel to the different sites and potentially supporting these sites locally on the ground for a certain period.


The Controller is responsible for all accounting & financial activities related to planning & forecasting. 
He/she also supports decision-making & strategic direction for the business through effective financial analysis of the activities. The position will also add value through an in-depth understanding of the BU’s business activities, by highlighting emerging business issues and trends and by staying abreast of changes in corporate directives and accounting policies.

 

Key Accountabilities
•    All controlling activities of P&ARP (evaluating financial performance, controlling cost, setting up budget follow-ups, determining and tracking corrective actions, informing management on main discrepancies, implementing controlling system & product-line profitability analysis)
•    All budgeting and forecasting activities of P&ARP, including preparation of monthly conference calls, quarterly business reviews, budgets, 10-year plans, monthly forecasts and strategic presentations to CSTM Group Management. Actively supports & analyzes current results and the establishment of budgets & forecasts & 10-year plans
•    Ensures accounting/legal/tax/financial/treasury compliance with Group rules, IFRS/SOX reporting and local legislation, and is the key contact point for CSTM corporate correspondents
•    Participates in various special projects at P&ARP


Leadership competencies, technical skills requirement
•    The individual should be a mature, seasoned professional with controlling experience and a track record of successful collaboration, teamwork and performance across the organization. The position requires an individual who thrives on a challenge and demonstrates a passion for anticipating and meeting the financial requirements of an organization that is competing in a demanding environment and growing both organically and through acquisition. Implicit in this is the ability to proactively address key accounting issues within the organization and effectively communicate solutions to operating and functional managers.
•    The individual must be able to operate in a feedback-rich, team-based environment and have constructive and positive interpersonal skills. He/she should have at least 10 years of progressively responsible financial experience.
•    The position requires to travel to the different sites and potentially supporting these sites locally on the ground for a certain period  
•    Specific competencies:
-    BSc/BA in accounting or in finance
-    Good knowledge of SAP (FI/CO/SD/MM), of Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance and of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) 
-    Language fluency in English. French and German are a plus
-    Good practice of Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Hyperion and BI tools 
-    Prior experience in project management and in costing within a manufacturing environment (knowledge of aluminum industry preferred)
-    Ability to work cross-functionally and lead team members across departments to complete projects according to both internal and external deadlines is vital
-    Ability to influence/lead team members who are not direct reports
-    Requires effective written and oral communication skills, sufficient to communicate with all levels of the organization, visitors and customers
-    Highly organized and able to develop project schedules, identify milestones and deliverables
-    Well-developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills 
-    High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm and confidentiality
